Nahezu alle Zellen des menschlichen Körpers, mit Ausnahme von Herzmuskel- und Nervenzellen, werden im Laufe des Lebens mehrfach ausgetauscht – und trotzdem stimmen wir noch mit uns selbst überein. Das Bewusstsein der eigenen Identität muss nicht immer mit der Wahrnehmung der Außenwelt übereinstimmen. (Wikipedia)
Im Haar ist der Mensch dem Tier am nächsten, aber das abgeschnittene Haar der Objekte ist niemandem – auch keinem Geschlecht mehr zuzuordnen. Eine Hülle tierischen Ursprungs erinnert an menschliche Körperumhüllung– oder den überdimensionalen Kokon eines eben geschlüpften fremdartigen Wesens. Auf zerlegten Polaroids lassen Fragmente nackten menschlichen Körper vermuten – oder täuscht unsere menschliche Wahrnehmung?

In the hair, humans are closest to animals, but the cut-off hair of the objects cannot be assigned to anyone—not even a gender. A case of animal origin reminiscent of human body wrapping– or an oversized cocoon of a strange being that has just hatched. Dismantled polaroids suggest fragments of naked human bodies—or is our human perception deceptive?
