DE
Im Projektraum MONOPOL:i (Bahnhofstr. 32, 57072 Siegen) vernetzen fünf Künstlerinnen – Jennifer Cierlitza, Mirjam Elburn, Clara Hoffmann, Jule Sammartino and Laura von der Heyde – ihre unterschiedlichen Positionen und Arbeitsweisen unter //link.
Die einzelne Materialien des Leerstandes, die später mitunter entsorgt wurden, der vorgefundene Raum und der eigene Körper sind Ausgangspunkt. Der Verfall – und damit die Vergangenheit – ist das eigentliche Material. Die Frage nach der Bildproduktion steht im Fokus. Auf Polaroid-Aufnahmen wird u.a. der Raum festgehalten, durch ihre Demontage und Vergrößerung entstehen neue Bildräume.

At the project space MONOPOL:i (Bahnhofstr. 32, 57072 Siegen) five female artists—Jennifer Cierlitza, Mirjam Elburn, Clara Hoffmann, Jule Sammartino and Laura von der Heyde—connected their different positions and artistic approaches under the title //link.
The single material of the abandoned house, which will later be thrown away, the presence of the space and the own human body in the space have been the starting point for the artistic approach. The decay—and thereby the past—is the actual material. The process of producing an image is the focal point. On a polaroid image the e.g. exhibition space is captured, disassembled and enlarged a new visual space appears.
